The national team friendly tournament - League of Legends is part of the plan within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Korean e-Sports Association (KeSPA) and the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA), it is also a kick-off activity for the ASIAD 19 journey as well as promoting the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to international friends through esports.

After two rounds of competition, the Korean national team has affirmed its undefeated position and its top candidate for the gold medal at this year's ASIAD 19. However, during the match, the Vietnamese players prepared a comfortable mindset with the goal of learning and practicing. Despite losing to Korea 2-0, the two teams had precious moments interacting with each other.

It is known that this is the first time Vietnamese esports marked an important event with the milestone of the first esports-friendly match in history. This is also the first match that Le Quang Duy (SofM) leads the national team as head coach of the Vietnam national esports team. SofM believes that the gap in the level and skills of Vietnamese esports with countries like Korea and China is still quite far, the friendly tournament is an opportunity to reflect and learn from previous experience for the players, from then on try and develop together.

After the match, the Vietnamese players expressed their pride in representing the country in the friendly tournament, and were delighted to meet Korea's top players. In addition, the Vietnamese national team prepared star lanterns and folk painting shirts to give to the Korean players as a thank you and to cement the strong friendship between the two countries.
