Thông tin chi tiết về cuộc thi thể thao ảo và mô phỏng toàn cầu Olympic Esports Series 2023 do IOC tổ chức và phối hợp với các Liên đoàn Quốc tế (IF) cùng nhà phát hành trò chơi đã được công bố trên trang web chính thức của IOC. Đặc biệt, đây là lần đầu tiên Olympic Esports Series được tổ chức trận chung kết trực tiếp, đánh dấu điểm nổi bật của tuần lễ thể thao điện tử Olympic 2023.

Các bộ môn thi đấu dựa trên 9 môn thể thao bao gồm:

• Bắn cung: Liên đoàn Bắn cung Thế giới, bộ môn Tic Tac Bow
• Bóng chày: Liên đoàn Bóng chày Bóng mềm Thế giới (WBSC eBASEBALL™), bộ môn POWER PROS
• Cờ vua: Liên đoàn cờ vua quốc tế, bộ mônmôn Chess.com
• Đạp xe: Liên đoàn xe đạp quốc tế (UCI), bộ môn Zwift
• Khiêu vũ: Liên đoàn Khiêu vũ Thể thao Thế giới, bộ môn JustDance
• Môn thể thao mô tô: Liên đoàn Ô tô Quốc tế (FIA), bộ môn Gran Turismo
• Đi thuyền buồm: Cơ quan đua thuyền buồm thế giới (WS), bộ môn Virtual Regatta
• Taekwondo: Liên đoàn Taekwondo thế giới (WT), bộ môn Virtual Taekwondo
• Quần vợt: Liên đoàn quần vợt quốc tế (ITF), bộ môn Tennis Clash

Ông David Lappartient, Chủ tịch Nhóm liên lạc thể thao điện tử của IOC, cho biết: “Phong trào Olympic kết nối mọi người với nhau trong thi đấu cạnh tranh lành mạnh. Olympic Esports Series 2023 sẽ là sự tiếp nối của điều đó, với tham vọng tạo ra nhiều không gian thi đấu hơn cho cả người chơi và người hâm mộ.”

Đại diện của IOC cũng bày tỏ mong muốn chứng kiến một số giải đấu bậc nhất thế giới trên sân chơi toàn cầu, khám phá cơ hội và chia sẻ các bài học về sức khỏe và phúc lợi, đào tạo và đổi mới.

Olympic Esports Series 2023 kéo dài bốn ngày sẽ giới thiệu rất các môn thể thao ảo  – bao gồm triển lãm công nghệ, trận đấu biểu diễn, thảo luận của hội đồng chuyên gia và trận chung kết trực tiếp đầu tiên của Olympic Esports Series 2023.

Ghi nhận những tiến triển sau khi làm việc trong chương trình nghị sự Olympic 2020+5, đây là bước tiến trong việc hỗ trợ sự phát triển các môn thể thao ảo trong phong trào Olympic, đồng thời kết nối với cộng đồng trò chơi và thể thao điện tử để tạo cơ hội mới cho người chơi cũng như người hâm mộ,

Diễn biến trận chung kết được phát sóng trực tuyến trên toàn cầu trên các nền tảng xã hội của Olympic.com và Olympic. Toàn bộ chương trình và chi tiết vé tham dự Olympic Esports Series 2023 sẽ được tiết lộ vào tháng Tư.

Olympic Esports Series 2023 được xây dựng theo format dựa trên những thành công của Chuỗi Olympic ảo 2021, diễn ra trước Thế vận hội Olympic Tokyo 2020, thu hút hơn 250.000 người tham gia từ khắp 100 quốc gia tham gia tranh tài.

The Grand Finals Round of Olympic Esports Series 2023 is officially held in Singapore

Recently, the International Olympic Council (IOC) announced that the grand finals round of Olympic Esports Series 2023 (OES 2023) will be held live in Singapore from June 22 to 26.

Detailed information about Olympic Esports Series 2023 - the virtue and stimulated game competition, organized by IOC and collaboration with international federations, along with game publishers are posted in the official website of IOC. In particular, this is the first time the Olympic Esports Series has held a live final, marking the highlight of the 2023 Olympic Esports week.

• Competition titles are based on 9 sports including:
  Archery (World Archery Federation, Tic Tac Bow)
  Baseball (World Baseball Softball Confederation, WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS)
  Chess (International Chess Federation, Chess.com)
  Cycling (UCI, Zwift)
  Dance (World DanceSport Federation, JustDance)
  Motor sport (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, Gran Turismo)
  Sailing (World Sailing, Virtual Regatta)
  Taekwondo (World Taekwondo, Virtual Taekwondo)
  Tennis (International Tennis Federation, Tennis Clash)

Also, the IOC representatives expressed his desire to witness some of the world's best compete on the global stage, exploring opportunities and sharing lessons in health and wellbeing, training and innovation.

The four-day festival will showcase the very best of virtual sports – including technology exhibitions, show matches, expert panel discussions, and the first live finals of the Olympic Esports Series 2023.

In recognition of the progress made after working on the Olympic agenda 2020+5, this is a step forward in supporting the development of virtual sports within the Olympic movement, while also connecting with the gaming community and esports to create new opportunities for players and fans alike.

Finals are broadcast live globally on Olympic.com and Olympic's social platforms. The full programme and ticket details for the Olympic Esports Week 2023 will be revealed in April.

This evolved format of the IOC’s virtual competition builds on the successes of the Olympic Virtual Series. The 2021 series, which took place ahead of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, attracted over 250,000 participants from across 100 countries to take part in competitions.
